As a natural consequence of the general development in the music business, and in order to have creative freedom, Sara decided to create her own label, Tralala Productions. In November 2004 she released her debut album “Dark Clouds, Silver Linings”. All of a sudden, she was a label manager, producer and artist all in one. Reviewers compared her to Carole King, but even though there are distinct references to the seventies’ tradition in song writing and instrumentation, the sound on “Dark Clouds, Silver Linings” is very much it’s own. Co-producer Per Ekdahl’s string arrangements emphasize the light and easy-to-approach, poetic sound in the music, balanced by Sara’s lyrics with tragic tales of failed relationships.

The second album, “While We Dream”, was released in May 2006, and reviewers were thrilled. The songs bear the same streak of despair and hope intertwined, as was heard on “Dark Clouds, Silver Linings”, but a more scaled production puts storytelling at the centre of attention, and places the album closer in the style to contemporary singer/songwriters. Sara is playing many of the instruments herself but “While We Dream” also features musicians on a variety of instruments raging from Celtic harp to pedal steel guitar, making the unusual instrumentation the trademark of this album.

As it appears, Sara has had a long career in music, but many may know her best from award winning dogma movie “Italian for Beginners” where she plays the part of Italian waitress, “Giulia”, in odd-match with nerdy protagonist “Jørgen Mortensen” (Peter Gantzler). She will also appear in a leading role in the short movie, “Nåletræer”, by Chilean director, Stefano Gonzales, due to be shown on TV and film festivals around the world in 2007.
