| While We Dream
It was a day like any other day
Maybe there were blue skies maybe they were grey
What do colours matter anyhow?
Colours aren’t the matter now
We were driving aboard a little white ferry
Reeled by wire
It all lay in what you left out
I looked at the water black and still
I knew we’d be going back and forth till
There’s no doubt
While we dream of different kind of love
Like Robin and Marian’s
It’s mounding up to a pile of years
Potentially we could be
But were we ever really
Happy
It will be a day unlike any other day
Maybe there’ll be blue skies maybe they’ll be grey
What do colours matter anyhow?
Colours aren’t the matter now
