Sara Indrio was born on the 4th of January 1975 and has studied music since the age of six. She worked as a session musician for ten years, backing some of the most esteemed artists in Scandinavia before she released her first solo album. She plays a variety of instruments, but as a solo artist her guitar and piano playing is at the base of the songs that lean on the singer/songwriter tradition.

In 2004 she released the debut album “Dark Clouds, Silver Linings” that received four and five star reviews and was voted “album of the week” on the most listened-to Danish radio station, p4.

The successor, “While We Dream”, was released in May 2006, and reaches beyond the Danish borders in terms of references and ambitions. This time, the production has been scaled down, putting storytelling at the centre of attention. Both music and lyrics have the mark of Sara’s distinct, personal style, but the themes are universal. Balancing on the fine line between darkness and light, the listener is led through the songs with open arms that generously offer a ride through a variety of emotions. With this, her second album, the reviewers agree, that Sara Indrio has proved her consistency as an artist that offers a valuable contribution to the Danish music scene.
